Sustainability Decathlon opens

Addiction/recovery support group launches for students

For students recovering from alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, growing up in an alcoholic family and similar situations, UCI’s Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion has formed a confidential support group, Anteaters for Recovery. Meetings will be led by a professional staff member also in recovery.

Saturday road and parking lot closures

To make way for UCI’s Anti-Cancer Challenge on Saturday, several campus roads will be closed and three parking lots will have restricted access from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. A map shows the affected areas.

Fundraising campaign passes $1.5 billion

Fundraising campaign passes $1.5 billion
UCI’s Brilliant Future campaign, a multiyear effort to raise $2 billion, has passed the $1.5 billion mark. The campaign’s annual report has more details. In the video above, UCI Foundation Board of Trustees chair Gary Singer ’74 outlines the campaign’s impact so far and discusses a scholarship program he and his wife established.
