UCI-OC Alliance makes impact in its second year

Founded in 2021, the UCI-OC Alliance is composed of community members committed to supporting the success of students. The group helped to create the Latinx Resource database, which catalogs 135 programs and resources that support Latino students. In 2023, the Alliance raised funds for 22 undergraduate scholarships and three graduate fellowships. Read the full 2023 impact report.

Seniors, stay hydrated in hot weather

Lack of fluids, especially during hot weather, can pose a serious health threat for anyone, but older adults are at particular risk for heat-related illnesses. As people age, the body's ability to sense thirst changes. When older adults drink less water, they become more susceptible to electrolyte imbalances and dehydration. Set yourself up for success with these tips to prevent heat-related illness.
