Data as strategy - collaboratories website launches

To leverage UCI’s strengths and position the campus as one of the foremost institutions utilizing data as a strategic asset, the Office of Data and Information Technology spearheaded the Collaboratories @ UCI – a unique playbook dedicated to supporting all institutional strategies through data. The collaboratories span distance, support rich human interaction and foster contact between stakeholders who share common interests and goals. Online criminology master’s program ranks #1 for fourth year

UCI’s Master of Advanced Study in criminology, law and society has been named the nation’s best online criminal justice master’s program by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth year in a row. The 2023 rankings mark the sixth consecutive year in which the program has placed in the top three.

Nine ways UC is working to cultivate a university as diverse as the state

As the demographics of California have changed, UC has made a conscious effort to cultivate a student, staff and faculty community that reflects the state it serves. President Michael V. Drake, M.D., has set even more ambitious goals, calling for UC to become the first higher education system in the nation to have each of its undergraduate campuses attain status as minority-serving institutions. Here are nine ways UC is working to achieve its vision.

Need to relearn how to have fun? There’s a party coach for that

Evan Cudworth started calling himself a party coach in October 2020 after getting let go from his music industry job earlier in the pandemic. He realized how vital social connections were but also how they took effort to sustain, something people were struggling with after months of isolation. Helping people connect again was something he wanted to help others with. Setting intentions before going out helps deal with anxiety - one of the main problems people come to him with.

Daily COVID-19 Symptom check

By coming to campus each day, students and employees are attesting they are free of COVID-19 symptoms and are not COVID-19 positive. If you currently have symptoms of COVID-19 or recently tested positive, do not come to campus, or if you currently live on campus stay in your residence, and follow instructions for reporting your case or assessing symptoms on the UCI Forward page. Close contacts to a COVID-19 case are not required to stay home or quarantine, but should follow guidance for close contact instructions for masking and testing on the UCI Forward page.

Potential workplace exposure

UCI provides this notification of a potential workplace COVID-19 exposure. Employees and subcontractors who were in these locations on the dates listed may have been exposed to the coronavirus. You may be entitled to various benefits under applicable federal and state laws and University-specific policies and agreements. The full notification is available on the UCI Forward site. If you have been identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 case, the UCI Contact Tracing Program will contact you and provide additional direction.
